Ottawa Folk Festival 2014

Ottawa Folk Festival 2014

I’m pleased to say I’ll be returning to the Ottawa Folk Festival this year for a solo performance on Sunday, September 14th @ 5:00 pm in the Craft Beer House on the Free side of the Festival – enjoy one of Ottawa’s fine craft brews & live music! I’m also doing a Pete Seeger Tribute @ 1:00 pm on the Hill Stage, with musicians Fred Penner, the Carper Family, Elephant Revival and Parsonsfield – come & join us in a tribute to this wonderful folk legend!

I’m in the Rising Star Supernova competition at the Folk Festival – fan votes count for 50% of my results – here’s the link to vote & thanks for your support!:

My new CD I Can’t Hide will be available in the Merch tent or at any of my upcoming gigs. The title track is one of my blues originals filmed by Craig Allen Conoley in the Gallery Studios – it’s on my video page.

I’ve got ongoing gigs on Friday nights at the great Oyster Bay sushi, steak & oyster bar this summer – check my Events for more details.

Hope to see you around!

Happy 2014!

I’ve played in a lot of great places this past year and had a lot of fun with some great audiences! I’ve also had a lot of fun jamming with fellow musicians – you can find people to jam with in some unexpected places! That’s why I like to bring a guitar with me wherever I go. Wishing you all a happy and musical 2014! – Spencer

Happy Spring!

Spencer Scharf delivers a down home acoustic folk rock / roots sound with flat-picking, finger-style guitar perfection and a wailing harmonica. With more instruments than a surgeon—banjo, resonator, keyboard & uke—he’s a total event on stage. Spencer has a deep pocketful of songs influenced by the likes of Neil Young, Eric Clapton & Woody Guthrie and a stage presence that shows a maturity beyond his years. He’s performed at the Ottawa Bluesfest and Folk Festival, the Governor General’s residence, countless events around Ottawa, and further afield. Come on out and meet Spencer Scharf this summer at the RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest!
