Happy New Year to everyone! I met lots of wonderful people in 2017, and hope to see some of you at my 2018 gigs! I’ve got some favourite venues on my roster – like Hunter’s Public House, Royal Oak locations & Lumbertown Ale House in Arnprior – and some newcomers – like the Mill Tavern in Manotick, Waterfront Gastropub in Carleton Place & Patty Boland’s Guitar on the Bar! No matter where I play, it’s always a great time!
Bluesfest Bayshore Festival Hall
I’m a MusikOttawa 2017 finalist – a competition for rising Canadian singer/songwriters being held Sunday, Nov 19th @ the Rainbow Bistro in Ottawa – more details on my events page! I’m also excited that my new CD is now ready & available at my gigs. I had a lot of fun doing a Shot in the Dark video of a song from the new CD in Wakefield recently – on my video page. I’ve been busy performing regularly in some favourite Ottawa locations – most Fridays at Ralph’s Sports Bar on Laurier, and also weekly at FarmTeam Cookhouse on Bank (alternating Thursdays / Saturdays), Hunter’s Public House on Bank, and a couple of Royal Oak locations – Orleans & Pineview. I also did a very fun gig this summer for RBC Bluesfest @ their Festival Hall in Bayshore Shopping Centre – a very cool space (check my video & photo page for some shots from that gig). More details about upcoming gigs on my events page – including the Canada Day celebration in Greely & at Hunter’s Public House – hope to see some of you out soon, and thanks to the regulars who make my gigs so much fun!

I’m excited to be at work on a new CD with Dean Watson @ Gallery Studio to be released in Spring 2017. I’m adding some new electric instruments to my favourite acoustics for an urban rootsy feel. I’ll be previewing the new songs at my shows – see events page for more details!
Great to be performing at CityFolk @ Lansdowne, in the new Marvest event happening at great venues all along Bank Street! I’ll be at Black Squirrel Books & Whole Foods Market on September 19th – check out my events page for more details!
CD Launch – Bluesfest School of Music & Art
2014 was a fun & productive year – check out my Video page for highlights of my solo performance at Ottawa Folk Fest, and a Pete Seeger tribute with Fred Penner and U.S. bands The Carper Family, Elephant Revival and Parsonsfield! Being featured in the first Bluesfest Bluesprint Series Showcase was an honour, & I launched my new CD at the Bluesfest School of Music & Art with friends Mike Giamberardino on drums, and Novalatté! Thanks to everyone who came out to my shows and bought my CD’s – it was fun to meet you & play at the various venues. Wishing everyone all the best for 2015! – Spencer
